Job Description

 

MSI-Viking is looking for a candidate to fill an opening in our sales / customer service department. The qualified candidate in addition to having a professional appearance and demeanor will have proven sales abilities and exceptional customer service skills as well as strong time management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

Role/Summary

 

The Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative is involved in interfacing with the customers, new and existing, as well as other duties including order processing, price verification & acknowledgement, quote / proposal preparation, daily interaction with sales representative, customers and distributors.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

§         Oversee customer service activity including order processing, quoting, document management, sales communications, managing escalated customer.

§         Follow up with customers concerning orders, quotes, questions, or problems and ensure that they are satisfied with our service.

§         Customer Interaction/Support, primarily over the phone. Tasks include but are not limited to processing orders, tracking shipments, and providing documentation, pricing, and other requested information.

§         Working together with others in the company and keeping them aware of information that they may need to provide our customers with the best possible service.

§         Paperwork processing of quotes, orders and general customer information in a timely fashion.

§         Support Field Sales Engineers, and Management by providing them with information necessary to effectively promote our products.

§         Coordination of shipments with manufactures regarding customer priorities.

§         Maintaining accurate Price Lists and pricing procedures.

§         Consulting with Sales Manager to keep informed regarding customers and changes in the industry and sales expectations. Provide sales leads to support their selling efforts.

§         Daily correspondence with all Customers via telephone, email and fax to ensure satisfaction and maintain relationships.

§         Provide feedback to other departments regarding customer driven necessities currently needed as well as those already in place.

§         Other duties as assigned and required.

 

Key Performance Criteria:

 

§         Timeliness and efficiency of customer orders, RMA's and credits.

§         Timely responses to customer requests, internal and external.

§         Accuracy of technical information dispersed to customers.

§         Timeliness of assigned tasks.

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

§         The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years experience in customer service or inside sales.

§         Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.

§         Valid drivers license.

§         High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.

 

Additional:

§         Knowledge of Tooling and Gaging background is preferred.

§         Ability to speak and read Spanish is a plus.

§         Knowledge of Profit21 accounting software is preferred.

§         Basic knowledge of accounting is helpful.

 

We are looking for a team player that can fit into our organization and help out in a variety of areas when needed. This is a full time position with a regular Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week. This opportunity offers a very competitive salary with commission possibilities.
