Starrett PLATEN-36S-196-1 Platen Set is 196 x 196mm with a load capacity of 20kN- 4500lbf. This Series consists of hardened steel 58 HRC platens for use with harder materials including metals, composites, ceramics, etc. The platens are square with concentric grooves that help stabilize the sample during compression testing. One platen is supplied. These are testing fixtures for use with twin column machines only.
