Mahr 40F Series 4150900 Micrometer with integrated Dial Comparator has a measuring range of 0-1" with .04" Retraction and 9 N Measuring Force. These micrometers are used for rapid measurements of diameters of cylindrical parts, such as, shafts, bolts and shanks. Also for the measurement of thickness and length. Recommended for standard precision parts. Features include a chrome plated steel frame with heat insulators, maximum stability, stainless steel, hardened throughout, ground and lockable measuring spindle. Retraction of the movable anvil and carbide-tipped measuring faces ensures maximum wear resistance, has a longer service life due to the ceramic measuring faces (refers to the 40 FC models) and also includes satin-chrome finished scales, constant measuring force, dial comparator integrated in frame and adjustable tolerance markers.
