M5 stylus with 1.5 mm diameter ruby cylinder and 11 mm diameter x 10 mm long stainless steel base. Overall stylus length is 19.0 mm. Stylus weight is 5.53 grams. Cylinder styli are used for edge probing, like those found on stampings or sheet metal parts. They are not suitable for high accuracy work because the spherical form of a cylinder is not as precise as a sphere.
